LEWIS & WOOD, established 25 years ago by textile printer Stephen Lewis and London decorator Joanna Wood was originally famous for its signature 'Character' and 'Sporting' designs, based on historic prints and engravings.
.
Since then Stephen Lewis and Creative Director, Magdalen Jebb have gone on to develop a large and varied collection of fabrics and wallpapers including strong ethnic prints, large scale florals, velvets, checks, stripes and unusual weaves.
.
Discovering and nurturing artistic talent from the applied arts – engravers, ceramicists, muralists and decorative painters – to create a selection of original prints is a unique characteristic of Lewis & Wood's work. Such collaborations have included – Andrew Davidson (Wood Engraver), Melissa White, Su Daybell, Flora Roberts, Marthe Armitage, Jenny Stringer and Agnes Wimborne.
.
Today all of the fabric and wallpaper printing is done “in-house”, where colouration and texture are perfected and quality control is guaranteed.
